The calculators are estimates
The calculators are planning tools. They apply published federal figures to the numbers you enter and deliberately leave out state income tax, the alternative minimum tax, many credits, and the special rules that apply to particular situations. Their output is an estimate and is not a prepared tax return, a filing, or a promise of any outcome. Do not rely on a figure from this site as the basis for a payment to a tax authority.
Directory listings
Listings are derived from open map data and other public sources. They may be incomplete, out of date or wrong: businesses close, move, change hands and change numbers, and seasonal tax offices in particular come and go. A listing is not a recommendation, endorsement, certification or guarantee of any business, its credentials, its licensing or the quality of its work. Verify a preparer's PTIN and credentials, and confirm fees, before you engage anyone. We are not a party to any dealing between you and a listed business and accept no responsibility for it.

Advertising and outbound links
The site carries advertising and affiliate links, disclosed on the advertising disclosure page. Links to other websites, including citations in the guides, are provided for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products, policies or availability.
Acceptable use
You may use this site for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not scrape, harvest or bulk-copy the directory, use it to build a competing dataset, send unsolicited marketing to the businesses listed, or attempt to disrupt the site or its hosting.
Intellectual property
The written guides, calculators, design and code are ours. Business records are derived from Overture Maps open data and remain subject to its licence. Map tiles are served by OpenStreetMap contributors under their own terms.

The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
